About my father, Dr. M. A. Najmi: At fifteen, Naj survived the tragedy of India's partition. He later immigrated to the U.S., where he earned two doctoral degrees, became a beloved university professor, husband, and father of four. He was also a marathon runner, an outspoken critic of social injustice, and a dear friend to many.
